We’re all waiting to return to Atlanta after two lauded seasons, and the wait isn’t far away. The FX series created by Donald Glover has finished shooting Season 3 in London, Paris, and Amsterdam, and is currently shooting Season 4 in Atlanta itself.

In the midst of filming, Zazie Beetz, who plays Vanessa on the show, talked to Desus and Mero about how far Atlanta has come.

“All of us got into that show just through basic auditions. For me, when I auditioned for that I was working a full time job and serving. I’m from the city so I was working here [in NYC] in restaurants, and I was just like, ‘Oh there’s another audition.’ We had no idea that it was going to pop off in the way that it did,” she said.

“I remember shooting at the end of the first season, me and the director Hiro [Murai] we were like, ‘Wow after this, this isn’t ours anymore, it’ll be everybody’s…. Read More

YouTube temporarily suspends Sky News Australia for spreading COVID-19 misinformation

Sourced from https://mashable.com/article/youtube-sky-news-australia-suspend-ban

YouTube issued Sky News Australia a temporary suspension, but it could become permanent if the channel doesn't change its ways.

YouTube has temporarily suspended Sky News Australia’s account, citing the video sharing platform’s policies regarding COVID-19 misinformation. Sky News is basically the equivalent of Fox News in Australia, so this isn’t terribly surprising — however it’s a milestone not even Fox has achieved.

Sky News Australia’s suspension came into effect on July 29, and prevents the channel from uploading new videos for one week. It’s a significant hindrance for the publication (not to be confused with Sky News UK), which has 1.86 million subscribers to its channel. YouTube counted for half of Sky News Australia’s digital reach as of December last year.

“We have clear and established COVID-19 medical misinformation policies based on local and global h… Read More

The deal between Square and Afterpay means customers may soon be able to manage

Square has agreed to acquire Australian buy-now, pay-later service Afterpay in an all-stock deal worth around $29 billion, making it one of the biggest acquisitions in Australian history. People are already wondering whether Square will pay in four installments of $7.25 billion in shares.

The acquisition was announced in a joint press release on Sunday, with Square stating that it plans to integrate Afterpay into both Cash App and Seller. Cash App allows customers to make payments and transfer money, while Seller is targeted toward retailers. Once Afterpay is integrated, Cash App users will be able to manage their Afterpay payments within the app, while merchants who use Seller will be able to offer Afterpay to customers.

“By combining with Square, [Afterpay] will further accelerate our gro… Read More

Watch two Olympians agree to share the gold in rare and heartwarming tie

Friends and co-gold medalists Mutaz Essa Barshim (L) and Gianmarco Tamberi (R) celebrating their win.

Many people consider the Olympics to be the ultimate platform for competition, and though that may be true, some of the best Olympic moments happen when athletes work together.

On Sunday, for instance, not one but two athletes from competing countries took home an Olympic gold medal after a competition resulted in a rare but heartwarming tie. How? Well, Qatar’s Mutaz Essa Barshim and Italy’s Gianmarco Tamberi — who happen to be friends on and off the track —agreed to share a gold medal in the men’s high jump.

Both athletes performed successful high jumps at 2.37 meters (7 feet, 8 inches) but each missed the Olympic-record high jump of 2.39 meters (7 feet, 10 inches) three times. Rather than embarking on another tie-breaking jump-off, the two decided to be co… Read More

How to connect Bluetooth headphones to a PC

Sourced from https://mashable.com/article/how-to-connect-bluetooth-headphones-to-pc

Making your PC and wireless headphones work in concert is pretty dang easy.

As fun as it is to blast your favorite songs (or Netflix shows) from your PC speakers, it’s generally a no-no for those of us who live with others. That’s where a good pair of Bluetooth headphones comes in.

Connecting a pair of Bluetooth headphones to a Windows PC is, thankfully, incredibly easy and comes with a few upsides. For starters, you won’t need to run a cable from your head to your laptop or desktop tower, plus you might even be able to get up and go over to the next room without pausing playback if need be.

So let’s walk through this fairly simple connection process.

Make sure your PC has Bluetooth
